Design and build
With a width of about 22 inches, the Dell P2418HZ can easily be placed on a table or in a meeting room. Because it has built-in functionality for video conferencing, the Dell P2418HZ’s monitor has a slightly large enclosure on both the top and bottom; however, the right and left borders are only half an inch wide so it won’t detract from the aesthetics of the product. The back of the stand has a circular cable slot so that users can easily manage the signal cables connecting the back of the machine.
The Dell P2418HZ computer monitor is fully equipped with features such as adjustable height, tilt, swivel and swivel, which can be adjusted easily by moving the screen in the position you want. You can lock the position using the stand lock feature using the M3 x 6mm screw (located at the bottom of the display just above the DP port).
Dell monitors also have VESA-compatible mounting options. Simply use a screwdriver to remove the four screws securing the plastic housing and attach the mounting bracket from your wall kit to the display.
User-friendly interface and functions
Six function buttons are located at the bottom right of the P2418HZ display, most of which have functions specifically designed for video conferencing. The first is the Hook button, which is used to accept an incoming message. Next are mute and volume buttons (up and down) for easy audio control (something you don’t usually see on many monitors). On the right are the Menu and Power buttons.
The display menu has a neat interface and is quite easy to navigate through the touch controls on the bottom edge of the screen. In the main panel, you’ll see the usual options, including Brightness/Contrast, Auto Adjust, Input Source, Color, Display, Menu, and More. From the Color menu, you’ll have a choice of presets, such as ComfortView, which reduces the level of blue light emitted by the screen for a more comfortable experience for your eyes. Multimedia, change the color settings to make it more affordable for multimedia applications; and Game, will optimize the color settings for the game.
The built-in webcam is good in image quality as well as viewing angle. Under normal office lighting conditions, smooth and noise-free video quality was viewed at widescreen resolution. The image sensor also does a great job with exposure and color correction, keeping video recordings at their best. Viewing in lower light the image sensor continues to perform well.
Perfect technology for video conferencing
It can be said that P2418HZ opens the series of screens equipped with maximum video conferencing features. The device has a 2MP VGA FHD infrared camera with infrared LEDs to help observe in different lighting conditions, providing top video quality.
The product has a built-in Microphone for evenly distributed sound, along with dual 5W speakers on the front, which filter out all noise for crisp and clear sound quality.
Besides, the screen with FHD resolution and 178/178 viewing angle with diverse viewing angles helps to ensure detailed and clear display images, very suitable for video conferencing.
Diverse connections
In addition to the above advantages, the P2418HZ also has a simple and elegant appearance with thin screen borders, allowing multi-monitor integration. The P2418HZ offers the usual connection types including DP , HDMI and VGA ports, located below the rear panel. In addition, two USB 3.0 ports are located on the side (including a USB 3.0 BC1.2 charging port) and three at the bottom of the screen, one of which is the power port. The headphone out/microphone jack is also on the side.
